In addition to her school work, Catherine has taken part in ‘Students Will All Graduate’ (SWAG), and is becoming a volunteer mentor with this program. She also helps out at home by caring for her younger siblings after school, while her mother is at work, and her father continues his education. A great believer in volunteering, Catherine has been a Helper with the Food Mobile; a Dance Instructor and a Camp Counselor with YM/YWCA; and has served as an advocate for peace in the community through her involvement in the Youth Involved in Policing Initiative (YIPI).
Catherine’s plans include attending Queen’s University to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Global Development. Following this, she would like to join the Canadian Forces to become a serving member in her chosen field. She also plans to pursue military law and become a Judge Advocate General.
We look forward to following Catherine’s progress, and wish her well in her future endeavours.
